What will you do for 21 days to help homeless youth?

June 21st is the winter solstice; it is the longest and one of the coldest nights on the streets in Australia for homeless young people. In recognition of this, Open Family Australia has created The 21 Challenge, an online fundraising campaign that runs from June 1st – 21st each year.

Proceeds from The 21 Challenge support Open Family Australia's outreach programs with at-risk and homeless young Australians, ensuring that outreach workers are available to young people where and when they are needed most.

The 21 Challenge is your chance to help homeless youth by doing something you love, perhaps something you don’t love, or even something you’ve never done before for 21 days and asking friends and family to sponsor you.  Be as creative or outrageous as you like!

In 2012, The 21 Challenge raised over $115,000 to support Outreach programs for vulnerable young people.  In 2013, our target is to raise $150,000. By registering for The 21 Challenge you will be supporting homeless young people this winter. We need your help.
